In this video, you’ll learn some tips for better audio when filming interviews and in particular, why you might want to choose a lavalier microphone, instead of a shotgun microphone.
One thing about any microphone, is that it needs to be close to your subject. The closer the microphone is, the better the overall audio quality.
When you’re in an echoey place, a lavalier microphone like the ETM-006, ETM-008 or EIM-008 can literally save the day because they can reduce the echo that gets recorded.
If you listen to the audio in the video, you’ll notice very little echo, even though the room I filmed in is terrible.
Anyway, hope the video helps and let me know if you have any questions about what microphone to choose for your next video project.
Thanks.
