How to Set Up an EIM Series Microphone with an Apple Computer [VIDEO]

In this video you’ll learn how to set up an EIM series microphone, like the Edutige EIM-001 or EIM-003, with an Apple computer. You can connect the microphones directly to your computer, but it’s recommended that you use an extension cable like the ESL-001, ESL-002 or ESL-006 to connect your Edutige external microphone to your computer.

The video shows an Apple MacBook Air, but the Edutige EIM series microphones will work with a MacBook Pro, iMac or Mac Mini, as long as the computer has the integrated headphone/mic jack.

After connecting the microphone, be sure to check if everything is working properly by opening System Preferences, then Sound. You should see External Microphone as an input device. If you don’t, restart whatever software you’re running, unplug and re-plug the mic and see if that works. It should.
